TW: mention of rape I have a friend who is partic TW: mention of rape
I have a friend who is particularly good at sending lovely things in the post, this week she sent this - thrasos is a Greek word and it means strength, courage and boldness 💖
But after the last week, especially after what happened yesterday evening in Clapham, I don’t feel bold, sometimes I don’t feel strong and I’m not sure we have the courage left within us.
This last week has shone a light on a struggle that’s with us every day. This friend and I were talking about how heavy it’s all been and we defined ourselves as “the lucky ones” because although yes we have stories to tell, they thankfully are not stories of rape, that makes us lucky.
One thing we concluded though is that there is power in sisterhood, together we have strength and when one of us lacks courage, we have an army of sisters who can be brave for us.
To our mothers, to our sisters and to our brothers that are helping elevate us, thank you for being strong when we cannot be.
Our hearts go out to Sarah’s family and friends, let’s be a little stronger, braver and bolder for them 🤍
L O V E 🤍 How are you spending this Valentine L O V E 🤍

How are you spending this Valentine’s weekend? 💕

I’ve always had mixed feelings about the big V day, especially as it’s the day before my birthday ... so the set menus, booked up restaurants and flowers being mainly red roses, just gets in the way of celebrating ME 😂

But, because of that, my Valentine’s quite often involves spending it with lots of friends & family who I absolutely adore 🤍 and I take the opportunity to tell them all how much I love them, whether I’m in a relationship or not.

So don’t forget to tell your besties that you couldn’t live without them, give your Mum a call to tell her you love her and show your damn self some love too 💕

Also, remember weddings?! Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that we can enjoy the ultimate celebration of love again later this year 🤞🏻
The dream combo 🤎 We’ve had a couple of day The dream combo 🤎

We’ve had a couple of days of snow here in London and it’s making me seriously crave a ski holiday filled with lots of chocolat chaud 🤎❄️

It still might be a while until we can be back on the slopes, doing the ski boot dance shuffle on tables and eating our body weight in cheese, but this recent vaccination news has me starting to feel a little more optimistic about when we will be able to go away again ❄️✨

I find sometimes it helps to think of small things like this in the future and remind ourselves that one day things will be “normal” again.

Until then, I’ll be here, looking through old holiday photos in my slippers 💁🏼‍♀️
Où est la discothèque? I’d love to know. Jus Où est la discothèque? I’d love to know.

Just a reminder that it’s ok to feel grateful for what you have and also miss how life used to be 💜

I know it’s trivial in the grand scheme of things but I’m really missing nights out like these, dancing with friends until the lights come on, completely consumed by the music and the moment. One day we will all dance together again 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼

M E D I T A T I O N ✨ I’m 25 days into the @ M E D I T A T I O N ✨

I’m 25 days into the @kirsty_gallagher_ 30-day meditation challenge and I’ve been so surprised at how beneficial I’m finding it.

I have to say I still have to make a conscious effort to make time for it every morning (and sometimes I completely forget), but most days I sit down for 15 mins in the morning with a cup of tea and enjoy a meditation guided by Kirsty.

I’m usually terrible at sitting still and some mornings I really struggle to stay focused, but day by day I do feel I’m getting better at just being present ✨

Here’s just a few things I feel post meditation:

💜calm
💜energised
💜loved
💜content with myself & my journey

If you’re a meditation newbie like me, Kirsty’s are a great place to start, or the @calm app have some brilliant ones catered to how you’re feeling that day, which I think I’ll try at the end of this challenge.

If you meditate, what benefits do you feel it brings to your day?
Remember when the days were warmer and lighter & w Remember when the days were warmer and lighter & we could do things like visit friends?

It’s grey and miserable again today in London so I’m looking through photos from the summer as a reminder that brighter days are ahead of us & nothing is permanent ✨
You may or may not remember that a while ago I pos You may or may not remember that a while ago I posted about the @createurbestself 6-minute diary and how much I was loving it.

Well, yesterday made it 66 days since I started using the diary which is apparently how long it takes for a behaviour for become automatic. Pretty good for someone who is a bit rubbish at sticking to things! 🙌🏻

It’s really helped me to focus on the good stuff and feel grateful for what I have, which has been so valuable given the times we’re in 💫

It doesn’t stop the shit days (as much as that would be nice), but it does help me gain perspective much quicker and find some good in those times, so cheers to that! 🥂
Does anyone actually know what day it is? I’ve Does anyone actually know what day it is?

I’ve been craving time off to just chill and do nothing all year (no furlough over here) and now it’s finally here I don’t know what to do with myself 🤷🏼‍♀️

Three days in and I’ve been on long walks, gone for very chilly runs 🏃🏼‍♀️, done some yoga ✨, watched the entirety of Bridgerton whilst consuming my body weight in chocolate biscuits (no regrets) and even started embroidery... what next?!

If you’ve got any tips for actually switching off and fighting against the “I’m bored/ I should be being productive” feeling, please do share!
Pre T4 shot of a festive London 🌟 We’re feel Pre T4 shot of a festive London 🌟

We’re feeling a little overwhelmed this morning and are thinking about all of those who now won’t get to spend Christmas with their families ❤️

This is a reminder that whatever you’re feeling today (sad / frustrated / angry / guilty are just some of the things we’re feeling) ... it’s all valid and it’s all important.

Look out for each other, take a deep breath in and remember, this too shall pass... we’d just love to know when?!
So thankful that we managed to squeeze in a night So thankful that we managed to squeeze in a night at @thefishhotel before Tier 3 was announced for Berkshire!

It turned into a night of celebrations as we got the news that we'd exchanged on our dream house as we pulled into the car park 🥂🍾🏡

It was our first visit to the Fish but definitely won't be the last 🐟❤️
As it’s Christmas next week 🤯🎄, here I am As it’s Christmas next week 🤯🎄, here I am getting festive last Saturday in what is without a doubt my most worn outfit of 2020.

The fleece and legging combo has seen me through lockdown 2.0, tier 2 and now tier 3.

Though I love them for keeping me comfy and warm through the many, many walks and outdoor dining I’ve done this year, I can’t wait for a time where I can dress up without fear of freezing 🥶

I hope it’s not too long before we’re reunited (inside) with friends and messages of “what are you wearing?” become relevant again (even if the answer was normally jeans and a nice top) 👯‍♀️
