Welcome!

Hello, welcome to Half Baked!

We’re three late 20-somethings, Soph, Em & Roch, looking for something to keep us occupied in this very strange lockdown world we find ourselves in.

When all this craziness first kicked off, we set up a WhatsApp group for the three of us. We use it to share all sorts of things, from what we’re reading, what we’re cooking to sharing any small pieces of positivity we see – windows littered with rainbows and pavements coloured with chalk, or positive posts from The Happy Newspaper.

Well, that WhatsApp group somehow, grew into this blog!

We’re hoping it will represent us. Who we all are and what we stand for. We’re not perfect, and we’re not sure we want to be. We’ll be removing the filter from our posts, not hiding away from the imperfections that make us who we are. We’re hoping you’ll laugh with us and see something of yourselves in us – we’ll certainly be keeping it real.

So, why Half Baked? Well, as we write this intro post, the blog is somewhat not a completely ‘fully baked’ idea. We realised that we all often hold back on doing things or sharing ideas, for fear of it not yet feeling completely perfect. We think this is a trait many of us carry but we’re learning to be happy in our imperfections. So, we’re not sure this blog would ever be more than half baked, but that’s what we like about it. Let’s just see how it goes!

We’ll be posting about all sorts…what we’re reading, what we’re listening to, our latest baking successes and disasters, attempting to keep up a social life whilst in lockdown, and anything else that’s keeping us busy at the moment.

We can’t wait to share our Half Baked worlds with you.

Soph, Em & Roch xxx
